"INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON IT ENABLED SERVICES - ITES 2006”, held on August 11, 2006 at Karachi Expo Centre in conjunction with ITCN Asia, being organized by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd., in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Privatization & Investment, Federal Ministry of IT & Telecommunications, Export Promotion Bureau, Government of Pakistan and ACCO-Association of Call Center Operators-Pakistan.
ITES, over the past few years, has helped Pakistan’s Government increase its foreign exchange reserves at a very rapid pace. The outsourcing industry in the developed countries is set for rapid growth in the next few years and if done right, Pakistan could benefit from the boom. Investment in state-of-the-art equipment has assisted this industry to stay at par with international standards. The government has also announced a 15-year tax holiday for setting up call centers besides other incentives for the IT/ITES industry.
Call Centre Industry is a significant area of growth as it helps the country in increasing foreign exchange reserves at a rapid pace. Therefore, Government is also helping this industry by creating good environment, making good policies and facilitating investors in making efforts to reduce taxes in order to gain foreign investments.
The ITES 2006 Conference scheduled on August 11, 2006, at Karachi Expo Centre simultaneously with the Exhibition, would be a platform where International Call Center / BPO players, operators, technology integrators, investors, decision makers, managers and other stake holders from this sector of Pakistan would exchange views and form strategies. The prominent speakers from the Industry would highlight the key issues and opportunities that are there to avail. The ITES 2006 conference will incorporate three focused sessions on the Call Center Industry. |
