Mr. Sam Alkharrat
Managing Director, Gulf and Pakistan, Cisco Systems
Mr. Sam Alkharrat is Cisco Systems' Managing Director for the Gulf region and Pakistan. In his previous appointment, Mr. Alkharrat was the Regional Manager for Service Providers in the GCC and was responsible for Cisco's Service Provider business including Telcos, Mobile operators, NSPs and ISPs.
Mr. Alkharrat joined Cisco in 1994 and became a field systems engineer in 1996. He then became a consulting systems engineer covering the Southwest of the United States in 1997 before moving to the Middle East in 1998 to take the position of Systems Engineering Manager. Following his move, he quickly progressed to take the position of Regional Technical Director and, in 2002, Mr. Alkharrat took on his new role as the Managing Director for the Service Provider industry.
Mr. Alkharrat has a B.S.E.E. degree in Computer Engineering, which he obtained from the University of Toledo in Ohio and is a Certified Cisco Internetworking Expert (CCIE).
