Mr. Peter Tesarik
Vice President, Global Midmarket Business,
IBM CEMAAS
Peter Tesarik is responsible for IBM’s midmarket business in more than 40 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East,
Africa, Austria and Switzerland (CEMAAS).
Mr. Tesarik joined IBM in 1989 as an industry analyst. From 1992 to 2000 he has held a number of management positions, developing business and channel sales in Bulgaria, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia and the Ukraine. He focused primarily on establishing IBM operations, gaining knowledge in key market segments such as the Banking sector. His experience in Moscow in 1998 gave him unique insight into the Russian marketplace and enabled him to successfully manage the restructuring of IBM's local subsidiary after the Ruble collapse.
In 2000 Peter Tesarik became the Manager of IBM's Midmarket Business in Central and Eastern Europe, responsible for 24 countries. In 2006 he was promoted to Vice President, Global Midmarket Business, IBM CEMAAS. In this role he is focused on creating, developing and driving IBM's biggest and fastest growing client segment in CEMAAS.
Mr. Tesarik holds an MBA from the University of Economics in Vienna. As part of his curriculum Peter spent time at the top French Management School, – ESSCA in Anger, exploring a wide range of management education to tackle new business opportunities.
