Governor Sindh, Honorable Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan in company with the Federal Minister
for Investment & Privatization, Senator Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, all Provincial IT Ministers
and top dignitaries inaugurated ITCN Asia 2004 Exhibition.

Federal Minister for IT & Telecom Honorable Mr. Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari inaugurated the ICIT 2004 International Conference which was organized in conjunction with the ITCN
Asia 2004 Exhibition.

Governor Sindh, Honorable Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan hosted the inaugural dinner of the
event at the Sindh Governor House dated August 10, 2004 which was attended by more
than 1500 people that constitute the cream of the country.

Chairman Senate, Honorable Mr. Mohammedmian Soomro, was the Chief Guest at the
inaugural dinner.

More than 200 Architects of the Pakistani IT Industry were acknowledged for the first time
ever by the organizers of ITCN Asia 2004.
To attract maximum people from the corporate sector of the country, the organizers made
serious efforts and took many initiatives that resulted in over 272,000 people attending the
Country’s largest IT Event.

Over 1240 Foreign Delegates including Overseas Pakistanis from 48 Countries graced ITCN
Asia 2004 Exhibition.

More than 150 Guests of Honor graced ITCN Asia 2004 Exhibition including Chairman
Senate, numerous Federal Ministers, all Provincial IT Ministers, high-level Armed Forces & Government Officials, Consulate Generals, Foreign Delegates and heads of Multinationals,
Local Giants and IT Companies.

Comprehensive documents on expertise & business area of ITCN Asia 2004 were
distributed to Foreign Delegates to ensure effectiveness for trade matching.

Several MOUs were signed during ITCN Asia 2004 Exhibition which resulted in millions of
US $ business between Pakistani IT Companies and their International Counterparts.

Special arrangements of Seminar Room, Hospitality Suites for bilateral meetings, Business
Center with necessary facilities, Refreshment Areas in each Hall, Executive Food Court,
Mineral Water arrangements and Prayer Area were made during ITCN Asia 2004.

Free Shuttle Service and City Tour Facilities were provided to Foreign Delegates.

ITCN Asia 2004 Press and Media Center coordinated with more than 60 print and electronic
media representatives from Pakistan and abroad that have gathered for coverage of the
event.

Special Supplements were published by the Jung and the Daily News and Show Dailies were
published to highlight the day-by-day proceedings of the event.

Special Coverage was also provided by the leading IT magazines of the country that includes
Computer Weekly, Computer World, NetExpress, Spider etc.

Special Documentaries were made of ITCN Asia 2004 which were aired on several
International and local satellite channels including BBC, CNBC, CNN, PTV, GEO TV,
INDUS, ARY-Digital etc.

First Aid Service, Bomb Disposal Squad, Fire Brigade, and Ambulance Service were on full
alert as a measure of safety & security precaution.

As a result of tremendous success of ITCN Asia 2004 International Exhibition, 56% stalls
were already booked as of Aug 30, 2004 for ITCN Asia 2005 Exhibition.
